Net Lake is a 230-acre lake located in northern Becker County approximately 3 miles east of White Earth. It has an average water clarity of ten feet and a maximum depth of 47 feet. Submerged and floating vegetation is common throughout near shore areas. A targeted fisheries survey was completed on Net Lake in July 2024 to assess the fish populations using one gill net and three trap nets. The gill net captured 17 Northern Pike averaging 18.5 inches in length. Five Walleye were captured with an average length of 18.3 inches and the longest fish was 25.5 inches. It appears Net Lake has a high-density Northern Pike population and the Walleye population has some quality fish. The gill net also caught 31 Black Bullheads along with small numbers of Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Brown Bullhead, and Yellow Bullhead. The three trap nets captured Bluegills at a rate of 16.3 per net. About 43% of the Bluegills caught were 7.5 inches of greater. Only one Black Crappie was caught in the trap nets and it measured 9.7 inches. Other fish caught in trap nets were hybrid sunfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Pumpkinseed, and Yellow Bullhead.
