Mission Lake has a Brow Bullhead population that is 15 times the Beltrami County mean, 3 times the county mean for Northern Pike, twice the county mean for Bluegills, and 73 times more abundant than the county mean for Black Crappies. The growth rate of Black Crappies and sunfish are slower than normal. Most of the bullheads were small to medium sized. The large crappie hauls can be attributed to occurring during spawning periods while the survey was conducted.
