Black crappies have become very abundant. Two previous surveys had not even sampled them. The crappies sampled in 1994 were rather small. The average size was 5.7 inches, and only 3% were larger than eight inches. Northern pike were also abundant. The average size pike was 21.5 inches long and weighed approximately 2.5 pounds. The bluegill population was average when compared to similar lakes, but the average size of the fish was small. Only 13% of the fish were over six inches long.

BLACK BULLHEAD, NORTHERN PIKE, AND YELLOW PERCH, WERE FOUND AT BELOW LOCAL MEDIAN NUMBERS. CARP, YELLOW BULLHEAD, GREEN SUNFISH, BLUEGILL AND HYBRID SUNFISH WERE FOUND AT ABOVE LOCAL MEDIAN LEVELS. LARGEMOUTH BASS WERE ABUNDANT, BUT WERE SMALL AND NO NATURAL REPRODUCTION WAS CONFIRMED FOR 1984.

YP, Carp, BLB & YB were present in numbers per set abv lcl med. for respective net catches. Both the Carp and Blk Bullhead pop.s are made up of small sz fish. The YB pop as well as that of YP show a wide distr. with sz groups well represented. The only fish that could be considered as a game fish was one hybrid sunfish taken in trap nets.
