On 09/05/2023, a presence-absence survey was conducted on the pond known as Unnamed-South. The purpose of this survey was to see what, if any, fish were in the pond and to check water quality. The 24.35-acre pond is located 4.1 miles east of the town of Felton in Clay County and is an old gravel pit was operated by the DNR Division of Forestry but has now filled in with water. One trap net and one gill were set in Unnamed-South pond to determine what species were present. Eleven Bluegill were captured that ranged from four to six inches in length with an average of four inches. In addition to the Bluegill, one hybrid sunfish (four inches in length), two Largemouth Bass (eight and 15 inches in length), and two Yellow Perch (both seven inches in length) were captured.
