Northern pike were abundant in Moore Lake in 2006, and above average in size. Fish as large as 27 inches were taken. Northern pike growth rates had been good, thanks to forage provided by large numbers of yellow perch and small white sucker. Many of the yellow perch were large enough to provide some fishing opportunity.

A few small, slow-growing bluegill were also present.
