Miller Lake is a 108 acre basin. In 1995, northern pike, bluegills and green sunfish were sampled in "high" numbers compared to similar type lakes. Black crappies, bowfin (dogfish), brown bullheads, largemouth bass, pumpkinseeds and yellow bullheads were sampled in "average" numbers. Yellow perch were sampled in "low" numbers. Common carp have been sampled in low numbers since 1983.

The northern pike population is down from the 1983 survey. The number/set in gill nets in the 1983 survey was 15.66 and the number/set in gill nets in the 1988 survey was 1.66. The median is 6.33 for the state. The growth rate for the 3, 4 and 5 age groups are average. The growth rate for the bluegill are all below for the age groups 3 thru 6. The growth rate for largemouth bass are low for the 2 age group, and average for age group 3. The growth for black crappies is average for age groups 2 and 4, and low for the age groups 3, 5, and 6. One yellow perch was taken in the 8 age group. The growth rate was low. No walleyes were taken. The number/gill net set for yellow bullheads was 2.0.
