Roe is an abandoned mine pit that has filled with water. It has hard water with low fertility and its steep contours don't lend well to netting. While ten species were found and numbers of fish were average for this type of lake, not much stood out for size or numbers. Northern Pike numbers were average at 2.3/net, but none of the fish were over 26". Bluegill was a similar story, with a catch rate of 11.3/net, but no fish over 6". Two species that might offer some angling would be Black Crappie and Tullibee (Cisco). Both were caught in average numbers for this type of lake (2.0/net) and size was okay. Average size for Black Crappie was 8.6", with one fish measuring 13.6". Average size for Tullibee (Cisco) was 13.1" and all of the fish were over 12".
