Three 3/8" trap nets were set on May 6, 2014 and lifted May 7, 2014 to assess winterkill on Fawn Lake. There were 2 northern pike captured, both around 13". One pumpkinseed was sampled. Black crappies were sampled at rate of 116/ trap net. The size averaged around 4.5".

Test netting indicates a very high population of black bullheads. Northern pike are abundant with a 4 to 5 lbs average size which also show a rapid growth rate. Bowfin, largemouth bass, yellow perch and walleyes are present but in low numbers. Bluegills are abundant but have a slow rate of growth.
