The northern pike population shows average numbers and size but below average growth. The black bullhead population shows high numbers and average size. The bluegill population shows very high numbers and very slow growth. The black crappie population show high numbers, small size, and slow growth. No yellow perch were found. This lake survey was completed as part of research project #392675. The fish population levels in numbers and average size of fish as determined from the range of median values for appropriate types of gear are indicated in the following table. High population levels are indicated by catch rates above the third quartile and low population levels by catch rates below the first quartile. Catch rates falling between the first and third quartiles are indicative of average, or normal numbers for a particular species. Average size of fish for a particular species or mean weight per individual fish are listed as small, average and large. Average size is indicated by mean weight below the first quartile and large size by mean weight above the third quartile.

The present Northern Pike population is twice the local average in abundance and is composed of numerous length groups with good growth rate. Largemouth Bass are abundant with growth rate slow. Black Crappies are abundant with size small and slow growth rate. Forage food is in good shape with an abundant Perch population.
