Boundary Creek Pond is part of Fishing in the Neighborhood. It is an eleven-acre lake, and the maximum depth is 8 feet. The lake was last stocked in 2014 and the pier was removed in 2022. The City of Maple Grove has planned to replace it in 2023. Only 2 fish species were captured in 2022. Black Bullhead and Black Crappie were in below-average abundance in Boundary Creek Pond, and were small with mean lengths of about 7 and 5 inches respectively. Bluegill were present in the 1996 survey and were stocked annually up to 2014 but were not present in trap nets in the 2022 survey. Stocking in Boundary Creek Pond is scheduled to resume in 2023 and includes Black Crappie and Bluegill. Boundry Creek Pond is managed as a chlidren's fishing pond and is annually stocked with adult bluegills and black crappies. The average size bluegill sampled was 6.8 inches in length and the average size black crappie was 8.1 inches in length. Over 50% of the black crappies caught during the survey exceeded 8.0 inches. Black crappies were sampled within normal levels for this type of lake where as bluegills were sampled in lower than normal levels. Black bullheads were sampled in relatively high numbers. Their average length was only 5.5 inches long. Boundry Creek is a regular winterkill lake.

THE CURRENT FISH POPULATION IS DOMINATED BY BLB, SAMPLED AT LEVELS MORE THAN 45 TIMES THE LOCAL MEDIAN. THE AVERAGE SIZE WAS SMALL, WITH A RATE OF 11.4 FISH PER POUND. MEDIAN LENGTH WAS IN THE 5.0-5.4 INCH RANGE, WITH MOST (97.7%) OF THE FISH MEASURED BEING FROM 4.0-7.9 INCHES TOTAL LENGTH. BLC WERE SAMPLED AT LEVELS SLIGHTLY HIGHER THAN THE LOCAL MEDIAN. BLC RANGED IN SIZE FROM 7.0- 16.7 INCHES TOTAL LENGTH, WITH A MEDIAN SIZE OF 10.0 INCHES AND A RATE OF 1.3 FISH PER POUND. THE LARGEST BLC CAPTURED WAS 16.7 POUNDS. BLG WERE SAMPLED AT LEVELS SLIGHTLY LOWER THAN THE LOCAL MEDIAN. BLG WERE OF MODERATE SIZE, RANGING FROM 4.5-7.4 INCHES TOTAL LENGTH, WITH A MEDIAN OF 5.5-5.9 INCHES. PSD FOR BLG WAS CALCULATED AT 34.6%. HSF, PMK, AND WHC WERE REPRESENTED BY ONE FISH EACH IN THE TRAPNET SAMPLE. SEINING SAMPLED HIGH NUMBERS OF BLG AND BLB YOUNG-OF-YEAR (YOY), MODERATE NUMBERS OF YOY BLC, AND SIX YOY PMK. FHM AND CENTRAL MUDMINNOW WERE ALSO CAPTURED.
