Glacier Pond Two is a 6.5-acre designated stream trout lake located 13 miles east of Ely in the Superior National Forest. It is comparable to other small stream trout lakes in the Tower Area like Dan, Norberg, and Regenbogen. The lake was surveyed during Spring, as is typical for some of the stream trout lakes in the Tower Area. Due to the early Spring sampling and expected lack of poor water conditions, temperature and dissolved oxygen were not measured during the survey. Previous checks have found sufficient year-round habitat. The lake has clear water, with a historic mean Secchi visibility of 17 feet, and a maximum depth of 32 feet. Access is by a short carry down 50 yards beyond a locked gate from a small parking area and is best suited to canoes. It is located on U.S. Forest Service land and is public. Parking is limited to a couple of vehicles and trailers are not recommended. A small, USFS-maintained campsite exists on the north side of the lake and is a decent shore fishing option. Summer Home Road is not plowed beyond the gravel pit in the winter and extends the trail to the lake by half a mile. Brook trout numbers (4.5/net) were above the lake average of 3.3/net. Lengths ranged from 4 to almost 17 inches and average length was 7 inches. Most of the catch was comprised of fingerlings stocked the previous fall, with two carryover fish from earlier events. Brook trout yearlings are annually stocked in the spring.

Glacier Pond 2 is located approximately 13 miles NE of Ely within the Superior National Forest. This designated stream trout lake has a long history of management and is stocked annually with brook trout fingerlings and most recently yearlings. There is a short carry-down access beyond the gate on the Ojibway Summer Homes Road. Two small parking areas are nearby. One USFS campsite is located on the N shore and shore fishing is an option there. Brook trout numbers in 2019 (8.0/gill net) were above the long term average (6.0/gill net) for this lake. The average brook trout sampled was 12.2 inches long which is larger than the historical average of 9.7 inches. Brook trout sizes ranged from 9.8 inches up to a maximum length of 16.6 inches.

Glacier Pond 2 is located approximately 12 miles E of Ely in the Superior National Forest. This 6 acre designated stream trout lake is stocked annually with brook trout. Starting in 2016, stocking was changed to spring yearlings rather than the fall fingerlings due to some temporary changes in the brook trout supply. There is a short (50 yd) carry-down access located near the gate on the Ojibway Lake Summer Homes Road, off the Fernberg Trail (CR18). Parking space is limited with two small parking areas located near the gate. There is one designated campsite located on the N side of the lake which offers a good location for fishing from shore. Brook trout numbers in 2016 of 6.5/gill net were similar to the historic average of 6.0/gill net for Glacier Pond 2. The average brook trout sampled was 9.1 inches and about 0.4 pounds each. The length range of brookies sampled was from 6.2 inches to a maximum length of 15 inches. The most recent previous survey of Glacier Pond 2 was in 2013 when the brook trout catch averaged 10.5/gill net and the average length was 9.6 inches.
