Carp are common in the lower basin and abundant in the upper basin. Golden shiner, white sucker, black bullhead, green sunfish, bluegill, hybrid sunfish and black crappie are above average in abundance. Bluegills were represented in the samples by only one year class (1981). Growth is somewhat slow for the area. Black crappies were represented by four consecutive year classes with the 1981 year class appearing to be strong. Growth is average for the area. White crappie, largemouth bass, bigmouth buffalo and freshwater drum are uncommon.
