McInnis Lake is located approximately 9 miles W of Ely within the Superior National Forest. This 15 acre lake was once used as a walleye rearing pond in the mid-1990s. One gill net was set on 6/27/19 to update our records and check for possible walleye reproduction and self- sustainability. One 15 inch walleye was caught. No other fish species were sampled or observed. Dragonfly nymphs were in the walleye stomach.
