THIS LAKE IS AT PRESENT SUPPORTING AN EXCELLENT POPULATION OF NORTHERN PIKE. BOTH NUMBERS AND WEIGHTS ARE ABOVE STATE AVERAGES. THE LARGE SIZE IS PROBABLY ATTRIBUTABLE TO LIGHT FISHING PRESSURE DUE TO A LIMITED ACCESS. THE PUBLIC HAS TO ENTER THE LAKE VIA A SHALLOW STREAM FROM HWY 73. THIS STREAM IS NAVIGABLE DURING HIGH WATER BUT MARGINAL DURING THE SUMMER. PUMPKINSEED SHOWED A GOOD SIZE DISTRIBUTION AS DID SUCKERS. ALL PERCH TAKEN IN FINBERG WERE SMALL.
