THE ABUNDANCE OF NORTHERN PIKE HAS TRENDED UPWARD SINCE THE FIRST ASSESSMENT IN 1971, FROM 0.5 PER GILLNET TO 8.5 PER GILLNET IN THIS ASSESSMENT. GROWTH RATES ARE SOMEWHAT SLOWER THAN NORMAL FOR THIS SPECIES. WALLEYE FRY WERE STOCKED IN 1985, 1986, AND 1988. TWO FISH WERE RECOVERED FROM THE 1986 YEAR CLASS, AND NONE FROM THE OTHER YEAR CLASSES. YELLOW PERCH HAVE DECLINED FROM THE LAST SURVEY OF 1978 FROM 25.3/GILLNET TO 0.8/GILLNET IN THIS EVALUATION.
