West Twin Lake offers fishing for panfish, largemouth bass, and northern pike. Boat access is possible off of the road running between West and East Twin lakes. Bluegill are abundant, with lengths up to 8.2 inches and 35% over 6 inches. Northern pike are also abundant, but generally small, with lengths between 14 and 26 inches and a 20 inch average. Largemouth bass were sampled in moderate to high numbers, with lengths up to 16.5 inches. Black crappie are present in moderate numbers, with lengths up to 10 inches and an average of about 7 inches. Pumpkinseed and hybrid sunfish are present in moderate to high numbers, with average lengths of about 6 inches. Yellow and black bullheads are also present, but predominantly yellow bullheads, with lengths up to 11 inches.

YELLOW BULLHEAD, NORTHERN PIKE, PUMPKINSEED, BLUE- GILL, AND HYBRID SUNFISH WERE FOUND AT OR ABOVE LOCAL MEDIAN NUMBERS. BOWFIN, BLACK BULLHEAD, BRWN BULLHEAD, YELLOW PERCH AND BLACK CRAPPIES WERE SAMPLED AT LEVELS BELOW THE LOCAL MEDIAN NUMBERS. LARGEMOUTH BASS ARE ALSO PRESENT. NORTHERN PIKE AND BLUEGILLS ARE MOSTLY SAMLL INDIVIDUALS. THE YELLOW BULLHEAD POPULATION IS INDICATIVE OF GOOD OVERALL WATER QUALITY. WALLEYES ARE KNOWN TO HAVE BEEN PRESENT IN THE LAKE.
