Island Lake is located three miles southeast of Akeley in southern Hubbard County. Island has a surface area of 78 acres and a maximum depth of 46 feet. There is no public access on Island Lake. The entire shoreline of Island Lake is in private ownership. The only other fisheries survey conducted on Island Lake occurred in 1988. Northern pike, panfish, and bass populations are present in Island Lake.
