Newman Lake is located seven miles southwest of Bemidji in northern Hubbard County. Newman Lake has a surface area of 45 acres, shoreline length of 1.18 miles, and maximum depth of 63 feet. A county owned public access is located on the west shore of the lake. Newman Lake is one of three lakes in the Park Rapids Management Area designated as a stream-trout lake, specifically managed for Rainbow Trout, and stocked each fall with Rainbow Trout fingerlings. The other two lakes are Blacksmith and Crappie Lakes. Abundance of Rainbow Trout in 2021 was the highest ever recorded for Newman Lake. All fish captured were from the 2020 stocking.

Newman Lake is located seven miles southwest of Bemidji in northern Hubbard County. Newman Lake has a surface area of 45 acres, a shoreline length of 1.18 miles, and a maximum depth of 63 feet. A county owned public access is located on the west shore of the lake. Newman Lake is one of three lakes in the Park Rapids Fisheries Management Area designated as a stream trout lake and stocked each fall with Rainbow Trout fingerlings. The other two lakes are Blacksmith and Crappie Lakes. Abundance of Rainbow Trout in 2017 was the third highest ever recorded for Newman Lake. About 86% of the fish captured were from the 2016 stocking and the remaining 14% were from the 2014 and 2015 stockings. Rainbow Trout from the 2016 stockings ranged from 7.5 to 10.5 inches and Rainbow Trout from 2014 and 2015 stockings ranged from 10.5 to 12 inches. Ninety-seven percent of the sampled Rainbow Trout were Kamloops strain. Based on results of higher survival of Kamloops strain than Arlee strain, all Rainbow Trout stocking in Newman Lake will be Kamloops strain starting in 2017.

Newman Lake is located seven miles southwest of Bemidji in northern Hubbard County. Newman Lake has a surface area of 45 acres, a shoreline length of 1.18 miles, and a maximum depth of 63 feet. A county owned public access is located on the west shore of the lake.
