STATUS OF THE FISHERY: In 1980, netting was conducted at Mud Lake, east of Kingston, to assess the fish population. Low numbers of bluegill (4.0/trapnet), white sucker (0.8/trapnet), carp (1.8/trapnet), black bullhead (1.3/trapnet), and yellow bullhead (0.5/trapnet) were sampled. Moderate numbers of black crappie (11.0/trapnet) were sampled. High numbers of white crappie (23.0/trapnet) were sampled. Numerous snapping turtles were also caught in the nets.
