BLACK BULLHEADS AND WALLEYES ARE VERY ABUNDANT. GREEN SUNFISH WERE SAMPLED AT BELOW LOCAL MEDIAN LEVELS. THE FISH POPUALTION, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF WALLEYES, SUGGESTS FREQUENT WINTERKILLS. THE WALL- EYES ARE THE RESULT OF USE OF LOON LAKE AS A REAR- ING POND IN 1980. MILD WINTERS HAVE ALLOWED OVER- WINTERING OF THE WALLEYES.
