BLG HIGH IN NUMBERS, SIZE SLIGHTLY BELOW AVERAGE. ONE OF THREE SHORELINE SEINE HAULS PRODUCED Y-O-Y BLG. PMK SUNFISH OF TWO SIZES (3' AND 6 WERE TAKEN IN GOOD NUMBERS. ONE SMALL HSF WAS NETTED. ONLY TWO SIX INCH GOS WERE NETTED IN PASSIVE GEAR; HOWEVER, Y-O-Y OF THIS SPECIES WERE NUMEROUS IN SHORELINE SEINE HAULS. ONE 3 LMB WAS TAKEN BY SHORELINE SEINE AS WELL AS MANY PMK Y-O-Y.

BLACK BULLHEADS DOMINATE THE FISH POPULATION WITH 161.67 FISH PER SET. GOLDEN SHINER ARE ALSO IN NUMBERS ABOVE THE STATE AND LOCAL MEDIAN. YELLOW PERCH, BLUEGILL, AND BLACK CRAPPIE WERE SAMPLED IN NUMBERS BELOW THE LOCAL MEDIAN. SEVEN LARGEMOUTH BASS WERE CAPTURED. THE DOMINANCE OF THE FISH POPULATION BY BULLHEADS IS TYPICAL FOR A LAKE WITH OCCASIONAL WINTERKILLS. THE 1972, 1977, AND 1982 NETTINGS ALSO INDICATED A FISH COMPLEX DOMINATED BY LARGE NUMBERS OF BLACK BULLHEADS WITH FEW GAMEFISH PRESENT.

Black bullhead numbers are high and the average size of fish small. Blk crappie numbers are high with the population dominated by young fish which exhibit average growth. Bluegill and Yel perch numbers are low. Bluegills aged showed the greatest number of VI annulus which showed average growth. Hyb sunfish appear average.
