A temperature-dissolved oxygen (TDO) profile was collected on 8/5/2025 to measure the amount of thermal habitat available for Tullibee. The TDO3 (temperature at 3 mg/l dissolved oxygen) was determined to be 17.8 degrees C. Overall oxy-thermal habitat was adequate for Tullibee from the surface to approximately 20 feet deep and much better than the previous assessment in 2024. Comparing profiles collected from 2009-2025 (not all years sampled), minimal oxy-thermal habitat for Tullibee survival has occurred in multiple years, with the most favorable conditions occurring in 2013, 2021, 2023, and 2025. The lake provides marginal habitat compared to other lakes in the Aitkin management area that are monitored for Tullibee habitat. Because the management area is located near the southern edge of Minnesota's Tullibee range, TDO profiles should continue to be collected to monitor the availability of cold-water habitat.

A temperature - dissolved oxygen (TDO) profile was collected on August 5, 2024, to measure the amount of thermal habitat available for Tullibee. The TDO3 (temperature at 3 mg/l dissolved oxygen) was determined to be 21.4 degrees C. The water was warm from the surface to 16 feet deep and the overall oxy-thermal habitat was poor in 2024, with only a few points inside the critical threshold.
