Northern pike spawning area dry 1980-1981. Lack of snow and spring rains. Analysis of northern pike and walleye stomachs showed these species to be feeding predominately of bluegills.Test netting results show the northern pike population to be five times the statewide median. The bluegill population is almost eight times the statewide median. The walleye population approximates the statewide median. Largemouth bass and black crappie populations are fair. The yellow perch population is extremely low - none were taken in gillnets and trapnets.
