Valley Lake is a 7-acre lake located within Valley Lake Park, in the City of Lakeville. A fishing pier is located on the west shore of the lake and much of the shoreline is accessible for fishing from a path that follows the perimeter of the lake. Other recreational opportunities at the lake and within the park include a swimming beach, playground, and picnic areas. The Fishing in the Neighborhood Program manages the lake primarily for sunfish species. Black Bullhead and small sunfish dominate Valley Lake. Black Bullhead were caught at a rate of 40.4/trap net, well above the average for similar lakes. There were no Black Bullhead sampled in 2015, and only two caught in the last two decades before 2025, so this infestation of Black Bullhead is a recent development.

Valley Lake is a 7-acre lake located in Valley Park, City of Lakeville. The Fishing in the Neighborhood Program (FiN) manages the lake for shore fishing, primarily for panfish species such as Bluegill and Channel Catfish. A fishing pier is located on the west shore of the lake and much of the shoreline is accessible for fishing from a path that follows the perimeter of the lake. Other recreational opportunities at the lake and within the park include a swimming beach, playground, and picnic areas. Golden Shiner was the most abundant species sampled in the 2015 survey. The average size was 4.5 inches. Bluegill Sunfish were not sampled in great abundance during this survey with only seven Bluegill Sunfish observed. Hybrid Sunfish were also not very abundant with only one fish sampled in the survey nets. One bright spot for Valley Lake is the recent addition of Channel Catfish to the fishery. Channel Catfish were found in good abundance, these fish had an average size of 14 inches with some fish over 15.5 inches. One White Sucker was also documented during this survey.

Valley Lake is a seven acre lake located in Valley Park, City of Lakeville. The Fishing in the Neighborhood Program manages the lake for shore fishing, primarily for panfish species such as bluegills and black crappies. A fishing pier is located on the west shore of the lake and much of the shoreline is accessible for fishing from a path that follows the perimeter of the lake. Other recreational opportunities at the lake and within the park include a swimming beach, playground, and picnic areas. Black crappies were the most abundant species sampled in the 2010 survey. The average size was larger than those sampled in past surveys at 7.2 inches and the largest fish measured 9.3 inches. Bluegills were not sampled in this survey but hybrid sunfish were moderately abundant and had an average size of 6.0 inches. One northern pike was caught in the gillnet and measured 31 inches. Looking at historic catch rates in survey nets for northern pike, they appear to be declining in abundance since the original survey in 1996.
